Job summary

Apploi in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee a long-term care unit. The role focuses on developing care plans, supervising nursing staff and ensuring high-quality resident care.

You will lead assessments, coordinate with physicians and families, maintain regulatory compliance, and mentor a caregiving team. Day shift, full time with benefits; pay negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in Maryland.
• Long-term care leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and references.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and update individual care plans.
• Complete admissions, discharges and other required assessments.
• Triaging and responding to health changes with physicians and families.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, county and company health/safety regulations.
• Audit documentation and care for quality and compliance.
• Communicate resident changes to families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide ongoing training, orientation and performance evaluations for staff and manage staffing schedules.

Here’s What You’ll Do for Our Residents & Facility:

Care Needs & Planning: Assist to develop, implement and continually update individual care plans, supplement hands on care needs

Assessments: Complete admission, discharge and other assessments as needed

Triage & Interventions: Assist to handle acute health changes, physicians' orders and collaboration with care providers & families

Regulatory Standards: Ensure compliance with federal, state, county & company health/safety regulations

Quality Assurance: Audit documentation & care for quality control/compliance

Family & Team Liaison: Communicates changes in resident conditions to families/providers, works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team

Team Oversight & Mentorship: Provide ongoing training, orientation & performance evaluations for staff. Manage staffing schedules and assignments
