Job summary

Intersect Healthcare of Woodward is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to design and oversee the Staff Development Program for the assigned building, including clinical tasks as needed. The role ensures compliance training, coordinates orientation, and supports budget and OSHA/risk management activities.

A strong nursing background and teaching skills are required. The position involves validating competency of CNAs and licensed staff, delivering CPR training, and collaborating with the DNS

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BS degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Current CE requirements.
• Three years nursing experience, including one year in long-term care.
• One year of experience as an instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs and design appropriate programs.
• Coordinate compliance training and document training.
• Conduct orientation for new, rehired and contract staff.
• Oversee Employee Health program.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation for licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Coordinate CPR and new employee training.
• Ensure nursing staff competency through observation and annual assessments.
• Assist in department budget and manage expenditures within budget.
• Plan in-service programs to meet regulatory requirements.
• May assume additional facility roles as needed.
