Job summary

Saint Mary Home is hiring an RN Staff Development Coordinator to plan and direct in-service education for our community, ensuring regulatory compliance and organized orientation. This role reports to the Administrator/ADON and participates in on-call rotations to support clinical needs.

The ideal candidate holds a CT RN license, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and CPR training, with 2+ years teaching experience in long-term care. Excellent organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or current RN with CT license and active license to practice as RN.
• Certificate to train staff in CPR is required or obtainable.
• Strong organizational and time management ability.
• Minimum of 2 years in a teaching or instructor position with experience planning and developing new programs.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric population is preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and directs all in-service educational programs across the community, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
• Coordinates new hire orientation and maintains accurate education records under Administrator/ADON supervision.
• Participates in an on-call rotation to support operational and clinical needs.
