Job summary

Saint Mary Home in Connecticut seeks a dedicated RN Staff Development Coordinator to oversee all in‑service educational programs across the community. You will coordinate new hire orientation and maintain education records under leadership, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role requires organizational prowess, time management, and prior teaching experience; CT RN licensure and CPR certification are essential, with long‑term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or active CT RN license.
• Must obtain CPR training certificate for staff training.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Minimum 2 years teaching or instructor experience with program development.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric care preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

What to expect as RN Staff Development Coordinator at Saint Mary Home

This role plans, organizes, and directs all in‑service educational programs throughout the community, ensuring compliance with applicable state, federal, and local regulations. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for coordinating new hire orientation and maintaining accurate education records, under the direction of the Administrator/ADON.

This position also participates in an on‑call rotation to support operational and clinical needs.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or current Registered Nurse with a valid, unencumbered and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of CT
• Must be or willing to obtain a certificate to train staff members in CPR
• Strong organizational and time management ability
• Minimum of 2 years in a teaching or instructor position with experience planning and developing new programs
• Previous experience working in long‑term care or with the geriatric population preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
