Job summary

Saint Mary Home is seeking an RN Staff Development Coordinator to lead in-service education across the community, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining accurate records. The role includes coordinating new hire orientation under the direction of the Administrator/ADON and participating in on-call rotations to support clinical needs.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or RN license in CT, CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), and at least 2 years in teaching roles; LTC or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or current Registered Nurse with CT license.
• Must be or willing to obtain CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Minimum of 2 years in a teaching or instructor position with experience planning and developing new programs.
• Previous experience in long-term care or with geriatric population preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct all in-service educational programs in the community.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and maintain education records under Administrator/ADON.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support operational and clinical needs.
