Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN - Shift Lead I for a part-time day shift at St James Hospital in Butte, MT. This role provides leadership and clinical expertise on the shift, coordinating unit resources to align with census and acuity while supporting staff professionally.

The position requires a BSN, Montana RN license, and BLS certification. You will supervise direct patient care, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with staffing to manage assignments and coverage.

Qualifications

BSN degree from an accredited program within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff on the shift.
Respond to patient emergencies as charge or lead for disasters.
Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes during the shift.
Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, and discharges.
Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping.
May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency.
