Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN - Shift Lead I for St James Hospital in Butte, MT. This part-time, day-shift role provides leadership and clinical expertise on the assigned shift and ensures appropriate staffing and resource use.

You will coordinate with the staffing office and act as a role model for professional practice. The position requires a BSN, Montana RN license, and BLS certification, with duties including supervising care, responding to emergencies, participating in committees,

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited program required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in handling patient/family issues and safety.
Respond to patient emergencies and act as charge/lead for disasters.
Collaborates with staffing to adjust staff numbers for census changes during shifts.
Communicates census, staffing and patient information to the oncoming Charge Nurse.
Promotes unit productivity, staffing, timekeeping and coordinates unit activities.
Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
May float to other departments within scope of competency.
May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
