Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an RN Shift Lead I for a part-time, day shift at St James Hospital in Butte, MT. The role provides leadership and clinical expertise on the shift, coordinating resources to match census and acuity while supporting staff and upholding Intermountain Health values.

Responsibilities include supervising patient care, responding to emergencies, adjusting staffing with the staffing office, and collaborating with the charge nurse to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program is required within 4 years.
• Current Montana RN license is required.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and/or provide direct patient care on the shift.
• Respond to patient emergencies as the charge or lead person for disasters.
• Collaborate with staffing to adjust numbers of staff for census changes.
• Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, and patient information.
• Support unit management in productivity, staffing, and timekeeping.
• Participate in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
• Promote Intermountain Health values and service standards.
• May float to other departments within competency as needed.
• May be required to be placed on-call during a scheduled shift.
