Job summary

Intermountain Health's St James Hospital in Butte, MT seeks an RN Shift Lead I for a part-time, day shift to provide leadership and clinical expertise on their unit. You will coordinate staffing to census and acuity while supporting staff and modeling professional behavior.

The role requires a BSN within 4 years, Montana RN license, and BLS certification; duties include disaster response, staff coordination, and participation in hospital committees as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License is required.
• BLS Certification must be obtained upon hire.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in problem solving.
• Respond to patient emergencies as the charge or lead person for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office and adjusts staff for census changes.
• Communicates census, staffing, admissions and discharges to the oncoming Charge Nurse.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing and timekeeping.
