Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Nurse Resident for the 12-month Nurse Residency Program to transition new graduates into professional practice. The RN Resident will work the Night shift and complete structured onboarding with Unit-Based Leaders, Educators, and preceptors to build clinical skills and confidence.

The program emphasizes nursing competencies, evidence-based care, and collaboration with an interprofessional team to deliver high-quality patient care across units.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients under supervision, following standards of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
• Engage in professional development and onboarding activities.
• Contribute to patient safety and quality outcomes through evidence-based practice.
