Job summary

Wellstar Health System is offering an RN Residency program designed to support new graduates with less than 6 months of professional RN experience. The program spans 12 months and includes unit-based coaching, educator support, and monthly NRP sessions to ensure a successful transition into professional nursing practice.

Residents will work under the supervision of unit managers, educators, and preceptors to deliver evidence-based, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current nursing license per state requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing process with patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team for safe, high-quality care.
• Document accurately and timely in the patient record.
• Participate in performance improvement and research activities.
• Act as preceptor/mentor to other nurses as needed.
