Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an RN Resident for the 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduate RNs with less than 6 months of professional experience. The program includes unit-based orientation, specialty sessions, and monthly NRP sessions to develop clinical skills and critical thinking for excellent patient care.

RNs will work night shifts as part of a multidisciplinary team, guided by unit leaders, educators, and preceptors to ensure safe, high-quality

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process and provides evidence-based patient care.
• Delivers patient- and family-centered care with multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration to support safe, high-quality care.
• Coordinates documentation and communication to promote a respectful clinical environment.
• Supports performance improvement and evidence-based practice through shared governance.
• Completes nursing competency assessment and mandatory education.
