Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida is seeking an experienced RN to independently care for a sub-specialty patient group using established nursing processes and standards.

The RN will delegate care activities to the health team, maintain professional accountability, and may serve as a preceptor and charge nurse when assigned. On-site, full-time role at BayCare’s SJH facility in Tampa.

Qualifications

• This position requires strong clinical nursing skills and ability to coordinate care.
• Interpersonal communication with patients, families and team members is essential.
• RN license and active credentials are required.

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using nursing process and clinical standards.
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other team members.

• Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary

• RN independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 1-year Operating Room experience as an RN is required.
