Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater, FL is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our team at Morton Plant. The role covers day shifts (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) with on-call responsibilities and in-person duties, supporting a busy surgical department.

Required are 2+ years of RN experience and at least 1 year in the OR, with certifications including BLS and RN licensure; ACLS if department requires. Competitive benefits and a strong team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 2 years of RN experience.
• At least 1 year of Operating Room experience as an RN is required.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS as required by department).

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.
• RN maintains professional accountability and development per standards from a recognized specialty organization.
• RN may serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Summary

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 1-year Operating Room experience as an RN is required.
