Qualifications include RN licensure, BLS, ACLS if required by department, and 1+ year OR experience preferred. The position requires full-time availability with day shifts; on-call is required and in-person work is mandatory.

Position Details

• Location: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, 6600 Madison St., New Port Richey, FL 34652
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year Operating Room experience as an RN for consideration.
