Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL seeks an Operating Room RN to provide individualized care for a sub-specialty patient group, following nursing process and clinical standards. You will also delegate duties to the health care team and uphold professional accountability and development.

The role requires 2+ years RN experience; 1 year OR experience is preferred. Certifications include BLS; ACLS may be required by department. Full-time, in-person shifts with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• RN with minimum 2 years of experience.
• 1 year operating room experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS if department.

Responsibilities

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients using nursing process and standards.
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.

• Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience.

For consideration for this position, at least 1-year Operating Room experience as an RN is required.
