Job summary

BayCare is seeking an experienced RN for the Operating Room in Winter Haven. The role involves direct patient care in a 10-hour day shift with on-call responsibilities and an emphasis on clinical excellence and teamwork.

Candidates should have OR experience, current RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS as required. CNOR is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth at a large regional health system.

Responsibilities

• Performs role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN is also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of two years of experience as an RN. For this position, we strongly prefer at least 1 year RN experience in the Operating Room for consideration.
