Job summary

BayCare’s Bartow Regional Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for day shifts (6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 6:30 AM–5:00 PM). The role requires a minimum of two years of RN experience and at least one year in the Operating Room.

On-call duty is required and the position is in person at Bartow, FL. The RN will provide expert perioperative care, mentor staff, and uphold standards set by leading professional bodies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• At least 1 year Operating Room experience as an RN required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a sub-specialty patient group in the OR.
• Serve as role model and mentor for nursing staff.
• Maintain accountability and develop according to national standards.
• Act as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 1-year Operating Room experience as an RN is required.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience :

• Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
