BayCare Health System is seeking an Operating Room RN (Days) at Bartow Medical Center. This full-time role supports in-person OR operations with a focus on patient safety, team leadership, and professional mentorship.

The position requires 2 years of RN experience (1 year in OR preferred), BLS certification, RN licensure, and may require ACLS. Join a respected team at BayCare BRMC in Bartow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year OR experience.
• BLS and RN licensure required; ACLS if department requires.
• Education: BSN or ADN with RN certification.

Responsibilities

• Care for a sub-specialty group of patients in the OR with professional leadership.
• Serve as a role model for the nursing team and maintain professional accountability.
• Support development and share information across the team as needed.

Position Details:

• Location: Bartow Regional Medical Center 2200 Osprey Blvd, Bartow, FL 33830
• Status: Fulltime
• Shift: Variable - 6:30AM - 3:00PM and 6:30AM - 5:00PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• Proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team
• Is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Acts as a mentor and resource expert, supports and shares organizational information to all team members
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 1-year Operating Room experience as an RN is required.

Experience

• Required includes 2 years acute care experience or 2 years Interventional/Procedural
• Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
