BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular ICU at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. This full-time, night-shift position requires clinical excellence and compassionate patient care.

The RN will deliver high-acuity care, collaborate with a skilled team, and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications include an active RN license, nursing degree, 1 year ICU experience preferred, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifikationen

• RN License or equivalent nursing licensure.
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing.
• 1 year RN ICU experience in an Acute Care setting (preferred).
• BLS certification with American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification with American Heart Association.

Aufgaben

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care.
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
• Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Coordinate and document discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care after discharge.
• Maintain high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience and explain medical terms clearly.
• Demonstrate professional accountability and development.

• Location: Morton Plant Hospital – Cardiovascular ICU – Clearwater, Florida
• Status: Full Time
• Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• On Call: No
• Always in person

Requirements

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
