BayCare is hiring a Registered Nurse - ICU at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. The role focuses on compassionate cardiovascular ICU care, patient monitoring, and coordination of care with the health team. In-person work with a 6:45 AM–7:15 PM shift and every-other-weekend requirement.

Requirements include an RN license and nursing degree (Bachelor's preferred). BLS/ACLS certifications are expected, with extensive ICU experience and a commitment to clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• RN License required for nursing practice in Florida.
• Diploma/Associate/Bachelor in Nursing or higher; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1 year ICU RN experience in acute care setting; BLS/ACLS certified.

Responsabilités

• Cares for ICU patients using nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates care activities to health team members as needed.
• Monitors vital signs and updates the team on patient status.
• Coordinates discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care.
• Responds to medical emergencies in critical care settings.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - ICU responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
