Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA is seeking a dedicated RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down. This full-time night position offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and a supportive, high-acuity environment.

You will assess and plan care for patients across the lifespan, coordinate with the care team, and ensure evidence-based practice. Join a team committed to safe, compassionate and autonomous nursing excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New Graduates eligible.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum).
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments including data collection on physical, psychosocial and health history.
• Evaluates developmental age for assessments, education and treatments.
• Organizes data into a care plan and identifies outcomes.
• Carries out plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Delivers care aligned with patient needs and conditions.
• Oversees ancillary and support staff activities.
• Identifies teaching opportunities and provides resources for patient education.
• Communicates issues to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager/physician as appropriate.
• Documents patient care in the medical record.
