Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks a Professional Development Specialist to drive education, mentorship, and leadership across nursing practice. This RN educator will plan and implement onboarding, competency-based education, and ongoing professional development for staff and leadership teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating orientation, leading evidence-based education initiatives, and collaborating with interprofessional teams to improve patient outcomes and practice standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; RN licensure in state of employment.
• BSN is required; MSN with education focus or MEd preferred for advanced educator role.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development preferred within two years.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding: coordinate orientation and assess learning styles for new hires.
• Ongoing staff education: plan and deliver education Day and competency training.
• Leadership: provide mentorship and develop staff through education and growth.
• Professional development: support growth of peers and participate in performance improvement.
• Collaboration: work with interprofessional teams to advance nursing education and outcomes.
