Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Professional Development Specialist (RN) to lead onboarding and ongoing staff education across clinical departments. This role demands strong teaching, leadership, and collaboration skills to advance nursing practice and patient outcomes.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure is required; BSN is required and MSN/MEd preferred. BLS is required; ACLS/NRP per department. Five+ years in nursing with educator experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required; MSN with education focus or MEd preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development within two years.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP as applicable to department.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding: plan orientation schedule and identify learning needs for new hires.
• Ongoing staff education: develop and coordinate education programs.
• Leadership: provide mentorship and role-model for clinical educators and staff.
• Professional development: promote growth opportunities and credentialing.
• Collaboration: work with interprofessional teams to improve patient outcomes.
