Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks a Professional Development Specialist (RN) to lead education across clinical areas. This role is a self-directed educator and change agent, responsible for onboarding, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of learning initiatives.

The PDS collaborates with the Clinical Manager and orientation team to identify learning needs, coordinate preceptors, and advance professional development for nursing staff while ensuring compliance with standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with RN license.
• BSN or higher with nursing education focus preferred.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development within two years is required or preferred; BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications per role may be required.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding new employees with orientation and evaluation.
• Assessment of learning needs and identification of educational outcomes.
• Planning and implementation of competency-based education plans.
• Coordinate preceptor development and staff education events.
• Maintain staff education files and participate in performance improvement.
