Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; RN licensure in state of employment.
• BSN required; MSN with education focus or MEd preferred.
• Minimum five years clinical nursing experience or three years plus two years formal educator experience.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding: Communicates with new employee before start date to introduce, assess learning style, and outline orientation process.
• Duties and Responsibilities: On-Going Staff Education: Assess learning needs, coordinate staff education, and ensure Education Day activities.
• Leadership: Demonstrates leadership, motivates, educates, delegates, and mentors peers within the healthcare team.
• Professional Development: Pursues personal growth and supports growth of peers, including leadership development.
• Duties and Responsibilities: Other: Provide education across shifts and participate in councils/committees.
• UNIT POPULATION SERVED COMPETENCY: Ensure competencies addressing diverse patient populations.
