The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks a Professional Development Specialist who is a registered nurse with advanced knowledge in clinical education. This role leads onboarding, staff development, and educational program implementation across units, acting as a change agent and mentor.

Responsibilities emphasize assessment of learning needs, planning effective education, and evaluating outcomes to ensure high-quality patient care and staff competency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development within two years.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required for all critical care areas.
• NRP certification is required for all perinatal areas.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding: Communicates with new employee before start date to introduce, identify learning style, and outline orientation.
• On-going staff education: Assess learning needs and plan education for staff based on competencies.
• Leadership and professional development: Mentor peers and contribute to education strategy.
• Duties and Responsibilities: UNIT POPULATION SERVED COMPETENCY: Ensure staff competencies address patient needs and diversity.
