Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teaching skills are required.
• BSN or MSN with education focus is preferred; an MEd is also favored.
• Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, or three years with two years in education/teaching.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding: Welcome, orient and assess new hires’ learning styles and orientation needs.
• Ongoing staff education: Plan and deliver ongoing education and competency activities.
• Leadership: Demonstrate leadership, motivate and mentor staff and peers.
• Professional development: Support growth of self and others; participate in certification and education activities.
• Unit population competency: Ensure staff have competencies across patient populations and care settings.
