Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds). You’ll provide bedside care, perform assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate with pediatric subspecialists to ensure safe, compassionate outcomes for hospitalized children.

The role requires NJ RN licensure and BLS, with EPIC EMR experience preferred. The position is night-shift, 7p-7:30a, with a 36-hour work week and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; ER experience and EPIC EMR familiarity are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and identify early clinical changes.
• Administer evidence-based medications and deliver hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families to support next steps in care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary communication.
