Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds) on the night shift. This role requires active NJ RN licensure, BLS, and experience with pediatric care across NICU/PICU settings.

The position offers 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shifts, rotating weekends and holidays, working 36 hours per week. Strong clinical judgment and compassion are essential as you provide evidence-based, family-centered care in a collaborative RWJBarnabas Health

Qualifications

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
A current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; Emergency/RN experience valued.
Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
Administer medications and treatments safely and competently.
Collaborate with physicians and care teams for timely decisions.
Provide clear education to patients and families about care plans.
Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
Engage in ongoing professional development and clinical ladder opportunities.
