Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. The role may include classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction at various sites, with a focus on creating a positive learning environment and guiding students toward professional nursing practice.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse with a BSN or higher, strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication

Qualifications

• BSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
