Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high‑quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. The role includes supervising students in clinical settings, evaluating competency, and guiding professional development.

The ideal candidate will hold an MSN or higher nursing degree, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of RN experience with strong teaching and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment and evaluate student performance and competency.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
