Job summary

Jersey College seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. The role involves classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction across multiple sites, creating a supportive learning environment and evaluating student competency.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with an MSN or higher, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student achievement.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Preferred nursing education or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students as assigned.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and other required academic or campus meetings.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
