Job summary

Jersey College is looking for a Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality instruction across LPN/PN and RN programs, including classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical experiences. The instructor will evaluate student performance, guide competency development, and promote professional nursing practice in alignment with program goals.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, maintains an active RN license, and brings strong communication and teaching skills to a collaborative academic setting

Qualifications

• Must hold MSN or higher nursing degree.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience teaching or nursing education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Deliver clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
