Job summary

The successful candidate will lead ED staff, participate in policy and process improvements, and maintain clear communication across clinical teams to support timely patient placement and efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred; Trauma Nurse Core Course preferred.
• ED experience and charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care respects patient rights and preferences.
• Coordinate patient flow between ED, bed management, and departments.
• Provide staff feedback to ED leadership on patient flow and safety.
• Routinely round ED triage, waiting areas, and patient rooms to oversee flow.
• Lead prioritization and communication across healthcare disciplines.
• Comply with WellStar policies and regulatory standards.
