Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-I at Jersey City Medical Center. This part-time day shift role requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and excellent communication. A NJRN license, BLS, and ACLS are required within 6 months, with a BSN preferred.

You will assess patients, administer medications, educate families, and document in EPIC while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Telemetry/Medical-Surgical RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families for informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and unit teamwork.
