Job summary

Good Samaritan Pipestone seeks a MDS Nurse who uses independent judgment to plan, organize, and evaluate nursing staff activities and the resident care plans. You will lead the RAI process, assess residents, and collaborate with families and providers to assure top care quality.

The RN on duty may serve as charge nurse, guiding licensed and unlicensed staff to ensure safe, effective care. The role requires an RN license, a nursing degree, and RAC-CT or supervisory experience preferred; 8-hour

Qualifications

• Graduate from NLN or AACN accredited nursing program preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one-year experience as licensed nurse with senior population preferred.
• Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified (RAC-CT) or supervisory experience preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license in the state of practice; multistate license acceptable if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing staff activities.
• Lead the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
• Assess and evaluate residents; maintain current care plans.
• Coordinate care with residents, families, and providers to ensure quality life.
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to staff as appropriate.
