Job summary

Good Samaritan Pipestone is seeking an experienced MDS Nurse to lead assessment and care planning for residents, using the RAI process to evaluate and update plans. The RN will coordinate with families and interdisciplinary teams to assure high-quality life for residents.

The role requires an unencumbered RN license, nursing experience with seniors, and may involve charge nurse duties and supervision of staff, all within professional standards and ethics.

Qualifications

Graduate from NLN or AACN accredited nursing program preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum of one-year experience as licensed nurse with senior population preferred.
RAC-CT certification, management or supervisory experience preferred.
Unencumbered RN license with State Board of Nursing; multistate licensure if in NLC state; required CEU and competency training; affiliation with outside nursing organization preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead resident assessment and care planning per RAI process.
Coordinate care, resident education, and collaboration with families and inter-disciplinary team.
Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff while ensuring safe, reliable care.
