Qualifications

• Requires RN license in good standing and nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; geriatric experience preferred.
• CPR certification required at hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with completion and submission of MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans per CMS RAI guidelines.
• Report changes in patient condition identified by MDS to the DON.
• Educate direct care staff on CMS RAI updates affecting documentation.
• Assist with review of the Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plan.
• Review Final Validation Reports and ensure CMS QIES submissions before billing.
• Identify late assessments via CMS Reports and implement preventive systems.
• Attend PPS meetings and other regular meetings; participate as needed.
• Perform functions of a staff nurse when required.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients; maintain safety and compliance.
