Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN MDS Coordinator in Florida to oversee MDS assessments, care plans, and related documentation in accordance with CMS requirements.

The role requires an active RN license, an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, and at least two years of nursing experience (geriatric preferred). CPR is required at hire or during orientation, with ongoing currency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist with completion and submission of MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans according to CMS RAI Manual Regulations.
• Report changes in a patient’s condition identified by the MDS to the DON.
• Educate direct care staff about CMS RAI updates affecting documentation.
• Review Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plan and Final Validation Reports for CMS billing eligibility.
• Attend PPS/Triple Check meetings and participate in required compliance activities.
• Perform staff nurse functions as needed and maintain high patient service standards.
