Job summary

Mercy is seeking a CNM to ensure high-quality patient care across a defined unit, while overseeing staffing and resource use. You will collaborate with medical staff and administration to meet standards and safety, and mentor nursing staff. Expect involvement in quality initiatives, teaching, and patient advocacy.

The role emphasizes leadership, interprofessional communication, and adherence to Mercy policies, with a focus on compassionate, family-centered care across the patient continuum.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program; BSN or in progress.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• 4 years of clinical experience; leadership, teaching, PI and budget skills.
• CPR and NRP certifications required.
• Medication and math competency test before med administration.
• BS/MS education preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory/management experience preferred.
• PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of quality patient care for a defined patient group.
• Maintain staffing at appropriate levels and supervise staff.
• Ensure regulatory standards and safety in unit operations.
• Collaborate with medical staff, administration, and colleagues.
• Plan and provide professional nursing care, including age-specific needs.
