Job summary

Mercy is hiring a CNM to lead nursing care on a defined unit, oversee staff, and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality. The role requires BSN (or progress toward it), state licensure, CPR/NRP, and relevant supervisory experience. You will collaborate with medical staff and administration to optimize patient outcomes and resource use.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• BSN or complete in the next 2 years.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in the applicable state of practice.
• CPR NRP certifications.
• To ensure patient safety, pass a medication and math competency test before assuming medication administration responsibilities.
• BS/MS preferred.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with age-specific needs.
• Plan and provide professional nursing care respecting cultural diversity and pain management.
• Delegate appropriately and direct staff in the delivery of care.
• Participate in nursing committees as assigned and maintain unit accountability.
• Ensure safe care through adherence to safety and infection control policies.
