Job summary

Mercy is seeking a CNM with strong leadership to oversee nursing care on an assigned unit, ensure staffing and budget adherence, and mentor staff. The role emphasizes quality patient outcomes, collaboration with medical staff, and compliance with safety standards across shifts.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, participating in committees, and upholding Mercy Service Standards while delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing; BSN or be completed in 2 years.
• Current licensure by State Board of Nursing in the state of practice.
• Four years of experience in clinical specialty or related area; includes management, supervision, teaching, performance improvement and budget.
• Basic computer skills including data entry, Windows and MS Office are required.
• Certifications: CPR; NPR.
• To ensure patient safety, licensed coworkers who provide direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency test.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients according to age-specific needs and cultural diversity.
• Plan and supervise care on assigned unit; delegate and direct staff.
• Collaborate with medical staff and administration; maintain staffing at appropriate levels.
• Monitor utilization of resources; ensure regulations and standards are met.
• Participate on nursing committees and support mission and safety policies.
