Job summary

Mercy is seeking a CNM to lead a nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, appropriate staffing, and cost-effective operations. The role emphasizes delegation, collaboration with medical staff, and adherence to Mercy standards.

Required are BSN (or completing within 2 years), 4 years of clinical experience with supervisory responsibilities, and CPR NPR certification. Preference given to MSN and PALS, with strong data and budgeting skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program; BSN required or to complete within 2 years.
• Current licensure by State Board of Nursing in applicable state.
• Four (4) years of experience in clinical specialty or related area with supervisory/teaching responsibilities.
• Basic computer skills including data entry, Windows, and MS Office.
• Certifications: CPR NPR.
• Medication and math competency test required before administering medications.
• Preferred Education: BS/MS.
• Preferred Experience: At least 2 years supervisory/management experience.
• Preferred Certifications: PALS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with age-specific needs and cultural considerations.
• Delegate to and supervise staff, ensuring quality care and safe patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with medical staff and administration to maintain staffing levels and budget adherence.
• Engage in performance improvement activities and ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies.
