Job summary

Your Place In Vermont is actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care in Springfield, Vermont. The RN will follow established standards and use the Nursing Process to assess and document care, including delegation where appropriate.

The position requires a Vermont RN license (or compact state license), BLS, ACLS, and de-escalation training, with six months of nursing experience preferred for specialty areas. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.

• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification.

Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees.
• Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• De-escalation Training
• Basic Dysrhythmia
• Telemetry certification or equivalent
• De-escalation training (Required completion at first course offering after hire)
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan
• Effective people skills and communication
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery
• Progressive Care Certification (preferred)
• Medical Surgical Certification (preferred)

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $35.13 - $57.64 per hour. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
