Job summary

Springfield Hospital, Inc. is seeking qualified Registered Nurses to provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.

Per Diem opportunities are available on all shifts. Requirements include ADN/BSN, Vermont RN license, BLS, ACLS, telemetry, de-escalation, six months of experience, and strong communication and technological skills.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Active Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• De-escalation training mandatory.
• Telemetry certification or equivalent preferred.
• ACLS required.
• De-escalation training must be completed at first course offering after hire.
• Six months nursing experience desirable for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice.

• Ensure practice complies with state and federal laws and policies.

Description

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees.
• Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• De-escalation Training
• Basic Dysrhythmia
• Telemetry certification or equivalent,
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• De-escalation training (Required completion at first course offering after hire)
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan
• Effective people skills and communication
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery
• Progressive Care Certification (preferred)
• Medical Surgical Certification (preferred)

Salary

The base rate for this position is $35.13 - $57.64 per hour. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
