Job summary

Springfield Hospital is seeking an RN to provide nursing care to patients and support the Nursing Department. The role uses the Nursing Process for assessments, planning, and documentation, with delegation to other staff as needed. The position requires compliance with state and federal regulations and departmental policies.

This is a mid-shift role with hours 11:00 am–11:00 pm and/or 9:00 am–9:00 pm. An ADN or BSN, active RN license, and healthcare tech proficiency are required or preferred

Qualifications

• Active Vermont RN license in good standing or compact state RN license.
• Six months nursing experience desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing care knowledge across the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• TNCC.
• Basic dysrhythmia knowledge.
• De-escalation training (required after hire).

• ENPC (preferred).

The Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees.
• Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

This is a mid-shift position, 11:00 am - 11:00 pm and/or 9:00 am - 9:00 pm.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
• Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas.
• Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products.
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Basic dysrhythmia
• De-escalation training (required completion at first course offering after hire)
• Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Course (within one year of hire)
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (preferred)
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (preferred)

Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $35.13 - $57.64 per hour. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
