Job summary

Spencer Hospital is actively seeking a Registered Nurse for an oncology-focused role in Spencer, IA. The position involves assisting with chemotherapy infusions and delivering comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and spiritual support to patients with cancer and related diseases.

The ideal candidate holds an IA RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience. BSN degree is preferred, and oncology experience plus certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Active IA RN license is required.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience is required.
• BSN degree preferred; Oncology experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with chemotherapy infusions as part of patient care.

Position Highlights

Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

Summary

Position will assist with primarily with chemotherapy infusions Responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes

Requirements

• Active IA RN licence
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required
• BSN and oncology experience preferred
• Oncology Certification (OCN) is preferred but not mandatory
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration

Schedule

• Schedule: 72 hours per pay period M-F; 7:30a-5p
• On-call rotation every 6-8 weeks after 1 year of employment
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
