Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA seeks an Oncology RN to join a rural hospital team. The role focuses on supportive care within Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology, providing direct patient care and coordination for cancer treatment and related needs.

The Nurse will work a day shift schedule, require an IA RN license, and bring at least 1 year of nursing experience, with BSN and oncology certifications preferred. Onsite benefits and community support are offered.

Qualifications

• Active IA RN license required.
• BSN degree preferred; oncology experience preferred.
• OCN certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to chemo administration.

Summary:

Position will assist in Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology

Responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes

Requirements:

• Active IA RN licence
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required
• BSN and oncology experience preferred
• Oncology Certification (OCN) is preferred but not mandatory
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration

Schedule:

• 72 hours per pay period
• M-F; 7:30a-5p
• On-call rotation every 6-8 weeks after 1 year of employment
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
