Job summary

Spencer Hospital, a rural hospital in northwest Iowa, is seeking an RN to join the Oncology team. The position focuses on medical and radiation oncology care, providing direct and supportive services to cancer patients and their families.

The role requires an active Iowa RN license and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with BSN and oncology background preferred. Certifications in chemotherapy/biotherapy are required before chemo administration orientation.

Qualifications

• Active IA RN license is required.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• BSN and oncology experience preferred.
• Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred but not mandatory.
• Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology.
• Provide direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient plans.
• Participate in on-call rotations after one year of employment.
